COVID-19: French Institute adapts its rules!

UPDATED: WEDNESDAY 7 APRIL 2021

Due to the last official instructions given by Latvian authorities, the whole team of French Institute in Latvia is working remotely until new restrictions will be released by the Latvian government.

If you have documents to return or if you wish to borrow some, the multimedia library will welcome you - only by prior appointment - on Thursdays June 3 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

June 10 will be the last opportunity to come to the media library before the relocalisation og the French Institute in Latvia to our new premises (in Raina bulvaris 9). The multimedia library will be ready to welcome you again from mid-August. The closing period of the media library will not be taken into account as a delay in the return of documents and no penalty will be applied.

Please, remember that any person from outside the Institute must respect the barrier gestures while entering the building:

  • It is mandatory to wear a mask and/or a visor inside the Institute. Access to the Institute can be denied to anyone coming to the entrance without a mask or a visor. There is a tolerance for children under 13 years who come without wearing a mask or a visor.
  • Respect the regulatory distance of 2m/3m2 per person.
  • Hand disinfection with hydroalcoholic gel is mandatory before going through the second airlock door of the building. Regular hand disinfection is then required.
  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
  • Use disposable handkerchiefs (not provided by the Institute) .
