Inauguration of the new premises of the French Institute in Latvia at 9 boulevard Rainis

On 14 July, the day of the French National Day, the Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Edgars Rinkēvičs, inaugurated the new premises of the French Institute of Latvia, at 9, Rainis Boulevard. This inauguration symbolizes the ever closer ties between France and Latvia.

 

The French Institute of Latvia and the French Embassy of Latvia now side by side!

Accompanied by the French Ambassador Mrs. Aurélie Royet-Gounin, the Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr.  Edgars Rinkēvičs, inaugurated the new premises of the French Institute of Latvia – now located next to the French Embassy – in the sumptuous edifice, jewel of the Latvian heritage, facing the Freedom Monument, Latvia’s beating heart.

For the Director of the the French Institute, Mrs. Véronique Dussaussois, “this relocation will give new impetus to projects still more ambitious and innovative aimed at promoting the French attractiveness and standing in Latvia in synergy with the Embassy”.
