Actions and influence: science, society and innovations

The French Institute in Latvia is the contact point for universities and research centres for their actions of cooperation taken between French and Latvian institutions. The scientific cooperation implemented in Latvia aims to intensify the development of the partnerships between French and Latvian universities and research centres as well as to strengthen the European research area.

UNIVERSITY COOPERATION

The vast majority of higher education institutions in Latvia have established partnerships with French universities or schools. The University of Latvia, member of the Francophone University Association, and Riga Technical University currently have the largest number of French partners. Double Franco-Latvian degrees have been set up in tourism, finance and business administration sectors.

SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION: THE HUBERT CURIEN PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMME, OSMOZE 

The Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC) Osmose is a French-Latvian mobility program for researchers. This bilateral program aims to develop the exchange of scientific and technological expertise between the research centres of the two countries by developing new cooperation partnerships. FRENCH GOVERNMENT SCOLARSHIP

Each year, mobility scholarships are awarded to all doctoral students who prepare their dissertations under the joint Franco-Latvia scientific leadership. Call for applications are communicated on our web-page Call for applications.
